Fired as Texans coach[edit]

I'm not sure what the debate is, he HAS BEEN FIRED as confirmed by David Culley himself per ESPN. I do believe he is the best source for his own employment status. RealtyPete (talk) 23:08, 13 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ben confirmed by multiple reliable sources. very much splitting hairs at this point — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.28.1.66 (talk) 00:03, 14 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is getting absolutely ridiculous when it comes to coach firings/player signings. If you want to be a reliable source, let these things be modified as soon as they happen. It is beyond rare for insiders like Adam Schefter and Ian Rappaport to be wrong - not to mention ESPN confirming it as well. Word choice for describing recent events[edit]

Should we describe Culley's fallout with the Texans as "parting ways"?

Major new sources, such as NBC, CBS, and ESPN, describe it as a firing, although the official statement is more nuanced.
