Definitions[edit]

I'm not sure this article, even after my rewrite, is following consistent definitions. Maybe what it needs is a chart like:

Territory	Sovereign (if dependency)	Customs union	Border controls	Notes
United States		-	External: Full controls; Internal: occasional agricultural checkpoints^[1] and weigh stations for commercial traffic	Includes 50 states, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico
Guam	United States	-

^ e.g. entering California (map), Puerto Rico-to-mainland flights
