It starts right at the beginning: The culture of the United Arab Emirates has a diverse, cosmopolitan and multicultural society. The claim pretends to be sourced, but when we check the source, we get a short paper on how many people have been born in the country or not. This does not make a culture diverse and cosmopolitan, I am afraid. It does not even deal with the difference between the cultural life in a country and the culture of a country. Later on, the culture (possibly referring to the cultural life) is declared as vibrant.

Similar weaknesses mark the entire article. Hence the template. -- Zz (talk) 16:41, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Dress - Grammar uncertainty

While the traditional outfit of Emirati men are mostly white and sometimes shades of light colors, the women wear black

I wonder if this would sound better if it said that the outfit of Emirati men is mostly white?

Removal

What historical aspect did you talk about? The information in History is short, indistinct and doesn't add up or clarify what has to do with culture, more about and encompasses other social aspects rather than culture, trade is economy, the term is etymology, etc. And languages is demographic, you may as well address that. About 60% removal is from the "history" and languages, what was removed below are mostly unsourced information, in dance, literature and sport. The pictures which was added aren't really important and don't add up much or even correctly to the information in texts. Of course, I altered the wording in some sentences, including what you mentioned, the use of the word "may", has to be added because the original statement is about an aspect too broad and relies heavy on personal opinion, the same goes with "some", to alleviate opinion. A short text is not a reason to remove it. Wikipedia is a constantly being constructed and added, demonstrated by the incomplete wiki globe symbol. A history of human habitation, transmigration and trade in a region that only formally became a country in 1971 is necessary to provide insight into a culture and people that were existent prior to the formation of the country. I agree with you on the term, which is unnecessary in this article. The language dialect of a certain demographic region does form part of the culture of the place as this region speaks in Gulf Arabic, is part of the Arabic culture, and forms part of the culture of Eastern Arabia as well as part of the tribal affiliations like other closely Gulf Arabic speaking countries of Oman and Qatar. This is similar to language forming part of the culture in many places, such as France and Quebec, and is incorporated into the respective region's cultural aspects. Citation needed templates exist for a reason. Words introduced as weasel words or expressions of doubt is not proper editing for Wikipedia, as they introduce the question which, who, or whom? Neither is changing integers from zero to 9 from spelled out in words to digits as per the wikipedia's manual of style. Pictures of Barjeel, Yowlah, folk dancing, Majlis, all correspond to the explained text in the article. Gorebath (talk) 03:24, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
