NPOV[edit]

Edited the article to remove the date of the formation of Sheffield United because of NPOV issues. There's no reason to include this date but not the date of the formation of other local teams. No date should be included as such information isn't appropriate for this article and is included in the Adelphi hotel article and the articles of each individual team. Also, moved paragraphs so that snooker is mentioned in the opening paragraph and the football reference is further down. Snooker championships is what the theatre is mainly known for nationally and internationally, and therefore should be in the opening paragraph. Kristmace (talk) 21:34, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Agree. To me, a foreigner, the building is simply the one in which the professional snooker's most prestigious tournament, the annual World Snooker Championship takes place. I'm not interested in what happens through the rest of the year. Others might be. Let's leave it as it is.Moitraanak (talk) 11:18, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Samuel West[edit]

Samuel West was artistic director from 2005 until last year [1]. I would put a reference in, but it would seem a bit odd putting a reference in for a fact that is no longer in the article at all. --VinceBowdren (talk) 23:04, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Vince, No problem with revert if is a fact (was just no reason given for removal in edit summary). But would it not be better to leave him in the article with a reference to departure, as Artistic director from xx to yy, as it is an important position. It like removing reference to the past team mangers at a football club. Or a bit like rewriting history by omision of fact. - BulldozerD11 (talk) 23:42, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Snooker Statistics[edit]

Shouldn't the number of frames played at the crucible statistics go on the World Snooker Championship page? Probably in the table of other statistics. They look totally out of place here. --Rjmunro (talk) 11:00, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Angela McMahon, Designer[edit]

I've reverted the edits made by User:ANGELACMCMAHON to the infobox; there is nothing in the article to support these. In fact, I've failed to find any support anywhere for them or for the remarkable assertions made in the user's edit summary for them. I've asked politely on the user's talk page for further information. I also looked for information on Angela McMahon; the profile at http://www.viadeo.com/en/profile/angela.mcmahon2 is also remarkable. --Mabzilla (talk) 14:50, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures from the inside[edit]

Aren't there any pictures from the inside available? --Kajdron (talk) 19:49, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
