Costa Rican here - I've never heard anyone call 500 colones a dollar

"500 colones is unofficially called a dollar in some places throughout Costa Rica, owing to its similar value to the US dollar." Source? I'm Costa Rican and I've never in my life heard this usage. Not to mention, 1 dollar is closer to 600 colones. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.199.220.123 (talk) 22:33, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
