Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because (A) it has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of it. Examples: San Diego Union Tribune, IndieWire, CBS8, The Wrap. The more I google the more I find.

It is a neutral page about a major film festival. There are hundreds of wikipedia pages about similar and less significant film festivals and allowed on Wikipedia.

It is not self promotion. I live in San Diego and I like film festivals but I don't work for them, and I've never even been to one of their programs.

I see that I did not post the independent links on the page, but they're there (linked above) and I will be working on posting them on the page. In the meantime, I've got a busy day ahead of me. Pardon me if I don't post every single one right away.

Contested General notability flag[edit]

There are eight reliable articles from seven independent sources (IndieWire, TheWrap, sandiegouniontribune, CaroLine, Surf's Up Studios, Coronado Times and CBS8 SanDiego) already cited in this wiki page. User:Elahrairah already said it looks notable when he or she declined the speedy deletion flag. It's a big film festival with big stars that gets notable coverage in many different sources. I'll admit that I'm still learning, but with all due respect, User:Onel5969, what's the problem exactly? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kire1975 (talkcontribs) 07:42, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The Chris Lemmon lung transplant story was printed in at least two reliable major newspapers (San Diego Union Tribune and Allentown Morning Call). I won't remove the general notability flag myself until consensus is reached. Kire1975 (talk) 17:07, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It seems notable to me. Since no one has disagreed for over a year, I'm deleting the tag---- Work permit (talk) 17:58, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
