Catchwords[edit]

The boxes below Cooperative_learning#Three_Theoretical_Perspectives are a mere collection of catchwords. There is room for improvement. --Fasten 17:34, 26 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Principles of Cooperative Learning (CL)[edit]

There are two basic principles of cooperative learning (CL)as follows: 1. indiviudal accountability 2. positive interdependence —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sallywywan (talkcontribs) 22:17, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are actually five basic principals according to Roger and David Johnson's CL: Positive Interdependence, Individual Accountability, Group Processing, Social Skills and Face to Face Interaction. A great place to start is: http://www.co-operation.org/ Roubitch (talk) 23:11, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page abused?[edit]

Looks like this page was abusively edited. Can please someone check? The edit of 20:51, 20 October 2009 is quite weird.

Extreme bias[edit]

This is one of the most biased articles i have ever read on wikipeida. There is only positive praise of this teaching style, the only thing close to a criticism is a discussion of it's "limitations" which is not negative towards the style itself. Some criticism needs to be inserted to conform to NPOV. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.167.104.112 (talk) 10:39, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge 'Cooperative Learning' and 'Collaborative Learning'[edit]

This would be an error. In the UK co-operative learning (note the hyphenation) is founded on the principles and values of the international co-operative movement. These values are: democracy; equality; equity; solidarity; self help; self reliance; honesty; openness; social responsibility; and caring for others. The enactment of these values distinguishes co-operative learning from collaborative learning, which may be characterised by either explicitly or implicitly contrasting values. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.193.48.27 (talk) 14:50, 3 December 2013 (UTC) http://ica.coop/en/what-co-op/co-operative-identity-values-principles Nigelrayment (talk) 15:02, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This objection seems inapplicable here since this article is not about "co-operative learning" as described. Rather the topic here is much closer to collaborative learning than this so-defined "co-operative learning". Jojalozzo 23:52, 25 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, the first poster surely meant Co-operative studies. There's also Co-operative education, but that's not suggested in the merger. The original merger proposal is maintained. Thanks. Fgnievinski (talk) 13:28, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that Nigelrayment inserted some references from the Journal of Co-opeartive Studies in this article; I've moved them to the Co-operative studies article. Fgnievinski (talk) 13:42, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Research is missing for Kagan structures.[edit]

I find this page a bit weird, especially the section relating to Research evidence which starts with the sentence "Research is missing for Kagan structures." I don't know what these are and how they are related to the subject at stake. There is no Kagan in Wikipedia. After some web search and the link in the reference, it is clear that we are talking about Spencer Kagan, but is he a pedagogical shaman of some sort rather than a scientist banned from the community or something? If someone is knowledgeable on the subject, please explain. Christian.Mercat (talk) 16:08, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
