Name change[edit]

This article should be renamed as a ANTI-MONTENEGRIN STATEMENT or MONTENEGROPHOBIA! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.155.14.152 (talk) 09:41, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How about "Montenegrin ethnic denialism"? – Illegitimate Barrister (talkcontribs), 02:35, 23 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Terribly biased article[edit]

This article sums up everything wrong with Serbian nationalist propaganda being served as encyclopedic material in Montenegro-related articles (selective use of sources, use of unreliable sources, POV-pushing, utter lack of factual balance etc). However, since it is tagged as under construction, although by a user who is an epitome of this phenomenon, I will assume good faith and wait for the "reconstruction" to be over before pointing out concrete flaws of this political leaflet acting as encyclopedic content. Cheers. Sideshow Bob 14:36, 30 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Can you tell what is serbian nationalist propaganda in this article ? Or you are just trolling ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.223.53.194 (talk) 19:45, 13 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A note on the title[edit]

Current title ("Controversy over ethnic and linguistic identity in Montenegro") implies that this article should have a wide scope, since it is defined territorially ("in Montenegro") and therefore should cover all ethnic and linguistic controversies "in Montenegro". On the other hand, current content of this article is 99 % focused on controversies related to identity of ethnic Montenegrins, while similar controversies, related to other communities in Montenegro are left untouched. In order to clarify the title, maybe we should move this article to "Controversy over identity of ethnic Montenegrins" or something like that. It should be also noted that controversy over identity of ethnic Montenegrins, and controversy over the Montenegrin language are two very distinctive issues, that should be properly dealt in separate articles, first focused on ethnicity, the other focused on linguistic questions. Delete this article[edit]

Full of serbian nationalistic propaganda. It's offensive to Montenegrins. Serbs created this article to tell lies to the world like they always did about Montenegro. Delete it! Duklja PG (talk) 10:03, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Most of cited sources are not Serbian but reliable, academic publications. I oppose. Jingiby (talk) 10:38, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article shoud be deleted[edit]

This is a very offensive article to Montenegrins. Every ethnicity could have an article about its controversy in the Balkans, but only Montenegrins have it. Wikipedia should not be a place where people deny someones identity. Montenegrinisch (talk) 07:16, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
