Article Impressions and Possible Additions[edit]

I've been interested in comparative linguistics and studying the differences between related or similar languages. This field would help language learners and interpreters transfer information from one language to another similar/related language. As a Spanish speaker and Portuguese learner, I specifically am interested in how contrastive linguistics could help interpreters better translate between related languages.

There have also been several subsections of contrastive linguistics mentioned in the "History" section of the article, but I believe they could receive their own sections in the page and to further elaborate on these sub-fields of contrastive linguistics. What are some good recent research papers, books, or articles that could help add more information to this page?
