Liberal International[edit]

Does anyone know why PLC left the Liberal International? --Soman 19:40, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The LI considered (in 2005) that the PLC was not a Liberal Party by their standards. The ALN was accepted as an observer in the LI in Sept. 2006. The PLC was (at the time of their expulsion) also an observer in the LI, not a full member. Magicartpro 23:15, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With all due respect, shouldn't The Constitutionalist Liberal Party take out the word 'Liberal'? Here in the United States, we associate the word liberal with the ideals of "Socialism" and "Communism". I thought that the Constitutionalist Liberal Party want to follow the ideals of "Capitalism", but within a democratic country. When the Somoza family was in control of Nicaragua, I saw them as being 'Capitalist Dictators'. That's wrong. Capitalism should be practiced in a democracy. Just as Socialism should be practiced in a democracy. That is why I suspect Daniel Ortega of being a 'Socialist Dictator'!! He is acting just like Somoza did!! Thank you. August 20 rally[edit]

I removed this information from the article, both because it is POV to say that it is the largest political force in Nicaragua based on this, and because this rally may not be important in the long run. Academic Challenger 20:53, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:PLC flag.png[edit]

Image:PLC flag.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
