Comment on redirect: Constantine III (western emperor) was not a usurper, for he was formally recognised as co-emperor by Honorius. That is the only objective standard we got. Neither was he Constantine II of Britain. The Roman emperors Constantine I and II both ruled in Britain, and no Roman emperor ever styled themselves as "emperors of Britain", that is just an anachronism.Sponsianus 22:04, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a governor of Britain[edit]

He was never a 'governor of Britain'; Orosius 7.40 clearly states he was a common soldier simply elected emperor because he bore a lucky name. This is clear in the main article as well I believe. --Jmullaly (talk) 04:48, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
