Proposed move and merger[edit]

I propose a move of the current Country parks and conservation in Hong Kong to the title Conservation in Hong Kong. The current title is either incomprehensive or overlapping for the content currently in the page. What I could find for the only reason for the current title is a fact sheet of Hong Kong bearing a similar name: [2]. "Conservation in place name" is the most used title for similar topic for other countries and regions.

Another overlapping is between the current title and the page Marine parks in Hong Kong. Marine park management is part of the conservation policy in Hong Kong. I would like to propose that the marine park page merges into the renamed Conservation in Hong Kong page. Putting all under the inclusive title will be the best solution for the current confusion.--Dono (talk) 15:20, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am neutral to this proposal, but you may want to ask for opinions at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Hong Kong. Judging from the inactivity on this article, not many people interested/knowledgeable on Hong Kong-related subjects may have it on their watchlists. (I myself only saw it because I was requesting a move for another article.) Hong Qi Gong (Talk - Contribs) 16:05, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

information Administrator note I've moved the page as requested. The requested merger needs to be considered separately.--Aervanath (talk) 13:56, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think that we should merge it.----Tomatoplant

Disagree with merger. The broad issue of conservation in Hong Kong is substantial and not close enough to that of the Country Parks to have them in the same article. Even the Marine parks could be separate from Country Parks, if there were enough detail included. Earthlyreason (talk) 14:05, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
