"Categories" of Consent Searches[edit]

I would like to remove the section discussing "categories" of consent searches. There is no legally significant distinction between consent searches conducted of the home, car, or person. To the contrary, the distinctions between them are largely factual distinctions that go to the totality of the circumstances. I am also concerned that the categories are inaccurate. The Fourth Amendment only enumerates four things: person, home, papers, and effects. A car would be an effect. To the extent any categorization of consent searches is warranted, it would seem apt to stick to those explicitly mentioned in the text of the Fourth Amendment.
