Introduction[edit]

Taxonomic is implicit in the term superfamily in the context of any biological or paleontological article are there for is superfluous.

Sophsticated isn't what's meant. Sophisticated is a character qualily. A better term would be advanced or evolved.

Since they are sea snails they are marine gastropods, which goes without saying. And since they are gastropods. Besides that is well shown in the taxobox.

Thanks for your interest in this article. I did think that some of your edits were quite helpful. Other deletions I have restored. WikiProject Gastropods has a routine way of setting up an article, and there are supporting reasons for the inclusion of all of the terms. The introduction of a Wikipedia article needs to start off by being fully comprehensible to a non-specialist in the field, as well as being satisfying to an expert. Wikipedia is not a science encyclopedia or a biology text. The average person does not know what a gastropod is, and does not know that it is the same thing as a snail. It is worth repeating the meaning in order to get the point across first in everyday terms and then in scientific terms. Wikipedia is not just a reference book for semi-experts to consult, it is also a means to educate complete amateurs. Best wishes to you, Invertzoo (talk) 16:07, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
