RAE 2008[edit]

This statement, "It received a 4* rating in the Research Assessment Exercise of 2008,[3] indicating that most of its research is of international importance", misrepresents the source. The 2008 RAE did not individually evaluate the Complementary Medicine Research Unit. All that is available are grade point averages for each unit of assessment. Southampton University gives a list of these average scores per unit of assessment (see here), note that nowhere is the Complementary Medicine Research Unit mentioned, so it cannot be attributed an individual score. None of the medical units of assessment have a higher averaged score than 3.25 (if you include nursing, 3.10 otherwise). The Unit did not receive a 4* rating by any measure included in the RAE.92.18.35.112 (talk) 21:55, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Plagiarism[edit]

Several sentences are near identical to sentences in an unattributed introduction on the Complementary Medicine Research Unit website e.g. "One in ten of the UK population use complementary medicine each year and approximately 50% are lifetime users" is an exact copy.92.18.35.112 (talk) 22:53, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

200 papers?[edit]

The statement, "The unit has produced over 200 papers and publications since 2001.3", is not supported by the citation. The linked page makes no claim of "over 200 papers", rather it lists 13 publications, the earliest of which is from 2002. Thus removed.92.18.35.112 (talk) 00:22, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Title[edit]

The current article title, "Complementary medicine research unit, University of Southampton", is incorrect as well as lacking the proper capitalization. The actual name is the Complementary and Integrated Medicine Research Unit, per the official website. I cannot change this having not registered an account, so it would be appreciated if someone else would do so. 92.18.35.112 (talk) 00:22, 24 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
