Wrong information of founding of NKP (Democratic)?[edit]

Untitled[edit]

According to several history books Ive read, the description of the history of the NKP (Democratic) is NOT correct.

All books ive read write that the NKP (Democratic) was simply a name used by what is often called the NKP (Mandahar) in the election of 1991.

According to them, the two other parties (NKP (Varma) or (Burma) and NKP (Amatya) did NOT join and breach with this party BEFORE the election in 1991.

On the contrary, the 3 parties (the NKP (Democratic) + A + V) joined AFTER the election, under the new name of NKP (United). Then A and V split out again, and joined the UML, while the NKP (United) (now mainly the NKP (Mandahar) under a third name) soldiered on until it meged with the NKP (Marksbadi) in 2005.

If this is correct, it seems this article confuses two different processes: The setup of the NKP (Democratic) for the election and the merger/split in the NKP (United) AFTER the election.

What are the sources for claiming that this merger/split happened IN the NKP (Democratic) BEFORE the election in 1991 allready?

Corrected grave errors[edit]

Cut out the stuff about the CPN(D) being a joint party, as this is all wrong:

- cut -

and Communist Party of Nepal (Amatya). CPN(D) was a member of the United Left Front and took part in the uprising against the authocratic regime in 1990. CPN(D) then fell apart when the Burma and Amatya groups reconstituted themselves as separate parties. Both later decided to join Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist). The remaining Manandhar group reorganized itself as the Communist Party of Nepal (United).

- end of cut -

Comment: It never was a member of the ULF neither, as far as I can see, because the name wasnt used before 1991, when the ULF was history.

The two other parties joined it AFTER the 1991 election, NOT BEFORE.
