Coimbatore can never be a la Chennai or Mumbai. City is obsessed with making money only. City might have been second largest payer of Tax among Tamilnadu Taxes, but Tamil talents are never recognised in Coimbatore. Coimbatore never contributes to Tamil Literature, Arts, Inventions, Politics and Cuisinary. Article Getting Worse

The article on Coimbatore seems to be getting bad day after day from what it was sometime back. The ‘’Economy of Coimbatore” reads more like some small merchant association website’s homepage. Even minor establishments are getting mentioned ostensibly promoting their interests rather than trying to be an encyclopedia.

The Coimbatore district article has to be improved a lot and it needs lot of Attention. Majority of the investment, a report said, went into the Madurai campus that went operational in 2016. It launched the Lucknow campus later that year and has expanded to towns such as Nagpur, Lucknow and Vijayawada.

Navin ernest, before any such edit could be made, you would first need to provide reliable sources (that's a link to more information about referencing) which support the change/addition which you want to be made. I don't see where the link you supplied supports your premise that Coimbatore is the "Fastest Growing IT City in india" for instance. Depending on the exact content and nature of the sources you can supply, and who published them, there might be some related content worth adding, though. You will also need WP:CONSENSUS that any addition you propose is desirable and significant enough to include. When you have provided the sources required, and a discussion in which you propose exact changes to be made has reached consensus in favour of the change(s) you can re-open this request (if the change(s) still need to be made). Just to make clear for editors, let me reiterate that what has been issued so far is just a instruction from Ministry of Tamil Promotion to rename Coimbatore to "Koyamputhoor". It is yet to be accepted or implemented by the Revenue department of Tamil Nadu. The Collector of Coimbatore admitted to not having received any official instructions. It has not been updated in any of Tamil Nadu government websites. It has not been accepted by Railways. It has not been accepted by Election Commission. So even before WP:COMMONNAME comes into picture, it has to be clear that Coimbatore is still a long way in getting recognised as "Koyampuththur" officially --Samudra95 (talk) 13:55, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
