Fair use rationale for Image:ChesnuTT.jpg[edit]

Image:ChesnuTT.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Friendship with the Strokes?[edit]

Does anyone know if Cody has a friendship with The Strokes or at least with Julian Casablancas? Because in this video, Julian invites Cody on stage and hugs him and dances with him. It was meant to move people, ChesnuTT explained, and to get them thinking - as is his latest work, a performance-based song cycle called The Live Release. The new material has not been released on CD; the songs are meant to be played, in order, before an audience. 'It's a body of work I've been experimenting with,' he said. 'It's really hard to describe. ... It's like a short musical, a flowing piece of work. I ask people, if they choose to applaud, to wait until the end of the whole piece. I also ask (concert promoters) for an intimate setting, so people have the mindset of being part of an intimate experience.

His song 'Deliberation' is featured in the movie Gridlock'd starring late rap star Tupac Shakur.

The result of the move request was: no consensus for page move. It is a strongly supported guideline that we don't do special formatting for stage names, trademarks, etc. (Note that Pink (singer) is not located at P!nk.) The comparison with iTunes is not apt, because the capital 'T' there actually performs a semantic function - it helps readers parse the word, similar to CamelCase. Cody Chesnutt → Cody ChesnuTT — His last name is always written as 'ChesnuTT'. It is incorrect to write it with lower case Ts. It's a stage name, not a birth name, so however the artist stylises it in writing, is the only correct way of writing it. McLerristarr / Mclay1 12:11, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see anything in WP:MOS that opposes this. I found this "As proper nouns, these names are almost always first-letter capitalized. Exceptions are made when the given individual does not want their name to be capitalized, and the lowercase variant has received regular and established use in reliable third party sources". If it works for normally capitalisated letters to be lower case, I don't see why it shouldn't work the other way around. His name is never spelt without the capital Ts. It's part of his name, it's not just stylisation. It's standard practice to use only a capital letter for the first letter of a name, but there is no rule in English that says one must do that. Well, I wasn't being exact. I don't give a fuck. Also, iTunes is spelt/capitalised as such on Wikipedia despite being incorrectly rendered as 'Itunes' by many secondary sources. Looking at the first couple of pages on Google, more sites use 'ChesnuTT' than 'Chesnutt'. McLerristarr / Mclay1 12:26, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (trademarks), we have specific accommodations for trademarks that begin with a single lowercase letter followed by a capital letter. That doesn't apply for Cody Chesnutt. Powers T 15:58, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
