Early comment[edit]

Your origins of Cloud computing only talks about the public cloud technologies. It does not talk about the private cloud technologies. Microsoft introduce Sharepoint in 2001 and integrated sharing into subsequent technology (Office 2003, Server 2003, Windows 7, Office 2007/2010 and Server 2008). Sharepoint eventually came to be call private cloud by Microsoft (possible in response to others using the term). There are probably other example that I am not familiar with. Since your page is about "Cloud Collaboration" I think it would be appropriate to discuss private/corporate cloud computing. 80% of fortune 500 companies use private cloud technologies, but I wonder how well this technology is understood by the wider IT audience. Private and Public cloud collaboration is so important in corporate computing that it is heavily shaping the next generation of Microsoft software. -- stephor --

I understand your point here, but I think that there are individual articles for the services you mentioned. Why not link to those or create a paragraph about it? Where did you get your 80% statistic? That's really interesting. Synergee (talk) 03:15, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
