Although Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone may have lent their name to the book, they are not the authors (see WorldCat reference in the article). ... discospinster talk 21:58, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

To 176.249.21.113 - The author credit is given on the title page. It does state "Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone present" on the cover and the title page, but also on the title page it says the following below the title: "by Andrew Chapman and Martin Allen". Many of the fighting Fantasy books were written by other authors but had the "Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone present" tag on the cover as they were well known gamebook authors and it helped sell books. It could get even more confusing. For instance, Scorpion Swamp was indeed written by a Steve Jackson, but not the one mentioned on the cover :-) The book (and two more) was written by "the other" Steve Jackson, Steve Jackson (US game designer) (as distinct from Steve Jackson (UK game designer))
