3rd or 4th Earl[edit]

There is a discrepancy between your source, http://www.myclan.com/clans/Wemyss_137/default.php and the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography (available on subscription from http://www.oxforddnb.com/index/101029035/ The details are similar but you have Margaret's son as 3rd Earl and ODNB has 4th. I think this stems from recognising Margaret as 3rd (countess). I have created a wiki link from Clan Wemyss#18th Century & Jacobite Risings to the existing page David Wemyss, 4th Earl of Wemyss which I have been editing. We should acknowledge the difference.
