Duke of Roxburgh on a list[edit]

It is of no consequence whether the standing Council of Scottish chiefs has someone listed. Clan chiefs, whether unilaterally or as a body, have zero authority to deem anyone a chief of any other clan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.187.169.173 (talk) 14:10, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"made a baronet of Nova Scotia"[edit]

Should read "purchased a baronetcy of Nova Scotia". The Baronetcies of Nova Scotia were created in the early 17th century in order to be purchased. The title was a gloss given to a government money-raising scheme, a form of public-private venture. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.187.169.173 (talk) 13:55, 12 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
