Wind-down windows[edit]

Citroen Dyane and Acadiane had "wind-down" front windows. The Dyane's rear windows had the sliding type mechanism.

I don't think a enciclopedia article should contain any form of personall notes so i'm taking the liberty of changing the part that reads "and i believe" to "it's believed", even though there is source mentioned. Southwestsoul (talk) 17:25, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Heck, the whole thing reads like a chummy nostalgic article from an owner's group website. Could do with a wholescale scrap-and-rewrite. The whole business about "winding it uphill in reverse", or judging whether it's been abused by checking for a sheared cooling fan, for example, is entirely out of place here. And whilst it's fairly common for car-derived commercial vehicles to have shorter-ratio/wider-range gearboxes installed for dragging heavy loads up steep hills at low speed, some kind of verifiable comparison with the original 2CV or Dyane is definitely warranted here - the 2CV itself was, after all, intended as an all-purpose utility vehicle rather than a sports car, and revved out at something like 20-25km/h in first (wheras the "change-up" tickmark on the Acadiane's speedo is clearly situated at 30k in the picture)... 87.115.98.16 (talk) 09:26, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
