"[...]allowing cotton or wool swimsuits in the pool would clog the filtration system." To me this statement seems dubious. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.26.112.252 (talk) 15:52, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why? Have you ever worn a natural fiber swimsuit? Powers T 01:08, 15 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Difference between a Christian naturist and a Christian naturist[edit]

The introduction currently states that Christian naturism is the practise of naturism or nudism by Christians and that many of the early protagonists of naturism were Christians.

However, as naturism as an organized movement and as a well-defined lifestyle is still (and has historically been) predominantly European and American ("Western") phenomenon, it would be an exception to find a naturist who isn't also a Christian! Great majority of Western people profess various Christian faiths and although adopters of naturist lifestyle might be overall somewhat "unorthodox" in their choice of value systems, that wouldn't certainly tip the scales enough. What I understand the "Christian naturism" to be is that it is a naturist lifestyle based primarily on Christian theology and Christian views of morality, compared to a naturist lifestyle primarily based on practical, aesthetic or political reasons. So, "Christian naturists" are naturists because they are Christian, not in spite of it. I admit that I'm not that familiar with this subject but the claims put forward in this article (all naturism, regardless of its motivations, practiced by Christians is Christian naturism) are clearly wrong and contrary to common sense. King David[edit]

The article states that King David danced naked before the Lord. However, the Scripture says he wore a linen ephod (II Samuel 6). I have marked the assertion about nudity as dubious. Does anyone have a source that sheds light on what a linen ephod is and whether the nudity assertion is accurate? SunCrow (talk) 07:11, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A review of the ephod article satisfies me that whatever an ephod is, a person wearing one is not nude. Therefore, I am removing the material on this passage, as it does not relate to nudity. SunCrow (talk) 03:45, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

The article needs more sources and better sources. It has been tagged (with inline tags) accordingly. SunCrow (talk) 05:48, 25 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
