Comment[edit]

Overhauled article, removed POV sections, added encyclopedic tone, and removed irrelevant sentences. It looks like a good start.Adambiswanger1 00:21, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hasn't he been broadcasting longer since 98?

Why was this article changed? Reference to him trying push out the Phillies broadcasting icon Richie Ashburn is VERY relevant.....as is his turbulent relationship with Harry Kalas. Nor is it libelous. Why was the portion on his history with the team removed? It was a nice retrospective to his beginnings with the ballclub. This article did a nice job summarizing his long career with the Phillies, but now it is empty.STUMPOFWAR 18:24, 18 March 2007 (UTC)STUMPOFWAR[reply]

Why was the reference to Wheelers toupee taken out?

Yeah, his trying to push our Ashburn and feuding with Kalas is a big one...and Philly fans hate him for it.

Just as a historical note, Wheeler's birthdate, August 9, 1945, was a pivotal day in world history. Bill S. (talk) 07:23, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
