Nationality of Smith's parents[edit]

In a Sky Sports documentary ("England's Foreign Legion") broadcast on August 4th 2012, Robin Smith (Chris Smith's brother) said that their father had been born in Walsall, England, and their mother in Edinburgh, Scotland (or perhaps that they were "from" those places - can't remember now. Being "from" somewhere is not the same thing as being born there of course). This would be worth including in their articles, although I accept that a more solid source than this will be needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Shiresman (talkcontribs) 18:36, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 18 November 2014[edit]

Chris Smith (cricketer)Chris Smith (cricketer, born 1958) – there is another cricketer, Chris Smith (cricketer, born 1973), so this title is ambiguous, and ambiguous disambiguation is a bad idea per WP:PRECISE. The similar ambiguity for Chris Smith (footballer) makes that point to the disambiguation page, so this current title should also be redirected to the disambiguation page after the article is moved -- 67.70.35.44 (talk) 04:42, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I've been bold and moved it, as this is the standard naming convention for two people who played the same sport who share the same name. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 07:51, 18 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
