New research regarding glial scar formation[edit]

The text regarding reference 2 and the section on spinal cord injury may need to be updated to reflect new research. Suggests that glial scarring promotes nerve fiber regrowth. Also CSPGs in this context upregulate for both growth inhibitory and some growth promoting factors as described in the article in Nature. See http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v532/n7598/full/nature17623.html for full text. Possibly edit to reflect the contrasting conclusions.

I don't personally have any qualifications to comment on the validity of the article, I just thought you would like to be aware of it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.95.254.205 (talk) 14:37, 16 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How many carbohydrate chains per protein[edit]

Twice this article uses 'a' to [wrongly?] imply there is only one glycan per protein but aggrecan has 10's or 100's of oligosaccarides per protein. - Can anyone say what range of sugar chain numbers may be present ? - Rod57 (talk) 11:38, 6 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
