Merger proposal[edit]

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
The result of this discussion was to merge. Elisfkc (talk) 15:44, 3 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Trails Stadium is part of the history of the KC Wizards's stadium project. There's no use to have a separate articles from the Wizards Stadium Complex at Village West. CapPixel (talk) 07:29, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree. They were separate proposals in separate states. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brcamb (talkcontribs) 00:05, 26 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It should be merged since it is all part of the process of getting a new stadium for the Wizards. The stadium construction is progressing now at West Village and not at the Trails. D.C. United Stadium page mentions both stadium sites in their quest for a new stadium. The Trails Stadium page should be dropped. Support merger. The failed, unbuilt Trails Stadium project is only really notable as part of the process that lead to the development of the KCK stadium, which is actually being built. oknazevad (talk) 12:44, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, I think they should be merged into the bottom half of the Wizard Stadium entry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seriouseditor65 (talkcontribs) 14:26, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support There's no for an abandoned proposal to have its own page, especially if another proposal is already set to be built.--UnquestionableTruth-- 03:40, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The project described here is already under construction, so the other article is just about a failed plan. No need for it's own article. Ryan2845 (talk) 13:04, 2 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Trails Stadium is never going to happen. It should have it's own section in the Village West Stadium about being the first "proposed" location for the Kansas City Wizards. FireBird1138 (talk) 05:06, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support The article merger should have happened already. 148.134.37.3 (talk) 11:52, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization[edit]

In all media releases and on its official website (see here), the stadium is referred to as LIVESTRONG Sporting Park with LIVESTRONG obviously being in all caps. Should all the letters be capitalized for the Wikipedia entry as well? Is that appropriate? --Blackbox77 (talk) 01:15, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I had the same question, but per WP:MOSTM, "Follow standard English text formatting and capitalization rules, even if the trademark owner considers nonstandard formatting 'official'". Kcowolf (talk) 03:17, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. --Blackbox77 (talk) 01:32, 29 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Link about Skycam cites article which does not provide support for assertions.[edit]

The section about the Skycam makes several assertions about it not being used, then cites a Kansas City Star article. The article contains none of those assertions. In fact, here's a news article that shows Skycam was in use for a regular season MLS game as early as 2005. 168.108.89.195 (talk) 05:26, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@68.108.89.195: added more citations that prove the point while I undid your edits. Elisfkc (talk) 23:04, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Elisfkc: It's still wrong, regardless. The Deseret News article cited above (an actual newspaper, and not a SBNation blog post) says it was in use for a regular season MLS game in 2005. That makes the information false.68.108.89.195 (talk) 21:55, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@68.108.89.195: considering The Deseret News refereed to the league as MSL instead of MLS, I'm going to try to look up the match they cite in the article (sometime in the next couple of days). If what they said did occur, there should be another reference to it. Elisfkc (talk) 22:01, 28 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The Skycam page shows links to articles about a Skycam being installed in the Home Depot Center in April 2005, and of it being hit by a ball and damaged a few weeks later. It was used for at least two MLS games there.Bill (talk) 04:43, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Map in Missouri?[edit]

Children's Mercy Park is located in Kansas, why is the map for this Missouri? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.124.175.155 (talk) 14:26, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
