Roppa and Ranko[edit]

The statement that Roppa and Ranko Sawa became stars because of this film is dubious: Roppa was already appearing on stage and Ranko had been starring in movies for 10 years. This looks like a bad translation of the Japanese wikipedia entry, which says that stars like Roppa and Ranko were used, and it is that which made the film famous.Michitaro (talk) 22:58, 30 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to fix it then. Tagging it, when you know it may have been a misunderstanding of the Japanese, doesn't do anything to fix it. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 04:34, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No offense intended. I just wanted to make sure there was not any other supporting evidence. As we all know, the Japanese wikipedia can be full of mistakes and dubious information too. Michitaro (talk) 13:06, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No offense taken. I likely translated it that way when I was tired. Tiredness does weird things to translations sometimes. :) ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 06:22, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No known Copies?[edit]

Just out of curiosity, how is so much known about a movie that has no known copies in existence? --Serupento (talk) 02:43, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Since it's been around for over 70 years, it's very likely someone saw it and has written about it. No copies are known to exist now, but they used to exist. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 03:34, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
