What[edit]

What is this going to be? A guided bus system? What makes it different from the BRTS? --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 12:39, 19 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is a separate project from BRTS which is planned for 4 new circular elevated corridors for the city. This is planned along the Existing road and the roads will be widened accordingly... No news yet on the type of the bus system yet! We gotta wait for sometime to get more details. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bharathmeister (talkcontribs) 11:28, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

So, what's the difference? A BRTS system generally is separating Bus-traffic from normal traffic on a separate lane. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 11:43, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I guess it'll include all MTC buses along with the BRTS buses (if any).. but in Chennai BRTS its exclusively for the BRTS buses. --Bharathmeister (talk) 11:58, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anyway, lets wait for more details... its been proposed so far.. guess can hear abt it sometime this year.. And i've added an article on Chennai Elevated Expressways too.. check and comment on it and how to improve the article --Bharathmeister (talk) 12:05, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

English[edit]

As per WP:ENGVAR, this article should use Indian English and not American English. The word Transportation is not used as a noun in Indian English but as a verb, and thus the line: "The Chennai Rapid Bus Transit Ways (RBTW) is a part of the Medium-term and Long-term Transport Scheme proposed in the Second Master Plan by CMDA." sounds correct as opposed to having Transportation. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:26, 8 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
