Edit[edit]

I have just done a big edit on this article - it is my first so I am sure there are still things to work on and improve. I have been searching for a couple more reviews to back up my statements, specifically the Times review of Hazlewood's concert in Queen Elizabeth Hall, but I cannot get hold of it anywhere. I would really appreciate any feedback on where I can improve this article and what else I need to do with the formatting etc. Thanks Megs91 (talk) 12:41, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed addition of Education and Early Career Section[edit]

Education and Early Career Hazlewood attended Christ's Hospital school in West Sussex where he was a chorister and organist. He later gained an organ scholarship to Keble College, Oxford, in 1986, graduating in 1989. He made his London debut with his own chamber orchestra, Eos, in January 1991. Hazlewood's follow-up concert with Eos at Queen Elizabeth Hall controversially included a stage set, and featured Hazlewood talking to the audience about the pieces to be played.

He was nominated by the BBC in 1995 as the UK's sole representative in the European Broadcasting Union conducting competition in Lisbon, where he won first prize.

These statements would need to be supported by appropriate reliable citations for each of the assertions made. See WP:CITE. For example, the article already contains in its lead a reference to Hazlewood winning the conducting competition at Lisbon, sourced to an interview with Hazelwood. But this interview does not support the statement that he was the UK's sole representative, or that he was nominated by the BBC. The only sources I can find on the internet supporting these are publicity sources associated with Hazlewood, which are not eligible for citation under WP guidelines. --Smerus (talk) 17:58, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
