Gallileo Galilei[edit]

Introduction:Galileo di Vincenzo Bonaulti de Galilei was called the father of modern science and a scientific hero.I chose him because he was an astronomer and some day I want to work at NASA. I also chose him because he was imprisoned at home like we are now .

Early Life:Galileo was born on february 15, 1564 in Duchy of Florence, Italy.Galileo often argued with teachers in the University of Pisa. The best subjects in school format were math, astronomy and science.

Life’s Work: Galileo was a teacher he taught math but he was also a great inventor. He asked many questions about gravity and the universe.He also figured out that the telescope can be used to see to the heavens he often wondered if the moon's surface was perfectly smooth or if the universe was heliocentric.

Later Years:He had a trial around 1633 it was found guilty of thinking the universe was heliocentric and geocentric he was imprisoned at home for the rest of his life. sadly Galileo died 1642 well he was stuck at home thinking.

Contributions and Closing: I think Galileo showed us that new ideas can actually be true even if it's 200 years after it was thought of.
