When did he marry?[edit]

Art: "In 1846, he had married" -- does that mean that the editor does not know the year of the marriage, but sometime before 1846 he got married? Or does the editor mean that he got married in 1846? Use of Past perfect for time before some past time? (AltheaCase (talk) 02:17, 30 June 2022 (UTC))[reply]
