Cronological Order[edit]

or as near to it... I have rearranged the Character lists in the Order that they appear in the books. (By using where their names are mensioned - eg, although Friday appears earlier on, he is only named in the 4th book after he is born.) I Think this might give them some kind of order, rather than being randomly placed - another possibility would be alphabetically sorting but I prefer my idea! Please leave your thoughts. How about an alphabetical listing within each book section? Branfish 14:36, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've put it in alphabetical order in each book section, by last name, and for characters with only one name, like Pickwick, by their first. I don't know, it just seems like an easier way to find the character you're looking for than chronological. ɱўɭĩєWhat did I dowrong 20:58, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the alphabetical within chronological order is a good idea as a reader can look up characters within the book he/she is currently reading. However, it may be problematic to describe the later events in a character's history under the heading of the first book in which the character appears as this creates "spoilers" for readers who have not yet read all of the books. (For example, the true identity of Granny Next should not be explained under the WOLP heading, as it not revealed until the very end of SR.) Revealing plot points about the characters will also necessitate retroactive editing as Fforde releases more books in the series, in which he may alter the characters significantly (already this article has fallen behind in being updated for books 5 and 6). I suggest editing the character descriptions to basic introductions and details that are not influenced by the evolving plots. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Osofine (talkcontribs) 15:58, 14 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Bellman[edit]

I beleive the Bellman is described as being The Bellman from The Hunting of the Snark in The Well of Lost Plots. Thursday says it in passing at some point about 3/4 in. --Wolfram.Tungsten 18:08, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this is mentioned in one of the chapter-heading passages. I believe it's chapter 26's passage, but if not, it's one close to it. Usoki 20:26, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Braxton Hicks contractions[edit]

As much as this is true: "His [Braxton Hicks] name is also the term used for normal contractions of the uterus during pregnancy, see Braxton Hicks contractions." you would not put a link to Lee–Yang theorem for everyone named Lee or Yang.  H3llkn0wz  ▎talk  10:02, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Acheron[edit]

It should be remembered that Acheron can mess with people's heads so all those other powers of his may just be careful brain-washing. Lots42 (talk) 00:47, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
