Reviewer Notes[edit]

Resubmission[edit]

This draft was declined on 18 October 2020, stating that the draft did not establish that the subject is individually notable apart from the group Iz*One. The decline said that any resubmission should explain, in AFC comments or on the draft talk page, how the subject satisfies musical notability independently of the group. The decline also said that not to simply add references or make minor changes to the draft without explaining how a notability criterion was satisfied. This draft has been resubmitted with minor changes, and without any comments either in AFC comments or on the talk page. Resubmitting a draft without addressing the comments of the reviewers, when the reviewers have explicitly asked for their comments to be addressed, annoys the reviewers and is insulting. It may result in the draft being Rejected or nominated for deletion, or even in a partial block. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:12, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Individual Notability[edit]

This draft still does not appear to indicate how the subject is individually notable apart from the group Iz*One. Maybe it does, but that is not obvious on reading the draft. Robert McClenon (talk) 05:12, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation[edit]

There appear to be two Korean singers with the name Lee Chae-yeon. Their mononyms are almost the same, as one of them is known as Chae Yeon and the other as Chaeyeon. Should they be disambiguated by birth name, or in some other way?

Apparently another user submitted this page for resubmission when it was still not ready. Is there any way to stop the resubmission for now?

About the name,I think it should be disambiguated by birth name or we can change this page name to Lee Chae-yeon (singer) later. Atsukoyuri (talk) 18:32, 30 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Atsukoyuri now that she has debuted as a soloist, isnt her name Lee Chae Yeon? 82.212.77.58 (talk) 17:56, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

I'm a bit exasperated by this article not being on the main site. I innocently created a main site article for her a few days ago, only to discover that it's been bounced out because there was a draft article for her all along. In my opinion, Lee Chae-yeon is so obviously notable. She is well known in South Korea and in much of the world, not just by being a part of a successful pop group, but also being one four separate TV shows. There are YouTube videos featuring just herself that have millions of views. She has an Instagram account with over 1 million subscribers. She is far more notable that say Jeremy Spake and my favourite Wikipedia biography page of all time: Anthony Killick. There is a story to tell about her which is definitely encylcopedic (e.g. background,, personal details, performances, songwriting credits etc). To be serious for a second, how can we expect more casual users of Wikipedia to help improve articles if they are stuck in Draft like this? Not everyone editing Wikipedia is an intense user. I would support the idea of a template in the article requring more references, especially in English. I'm a long-standing Wikipedia editor, so I can perhaps put up with these setbacks, but I do really worry about these processes putting off much more casual editors. This whole draft thing for someone like Lee Chae-yeon is surely the wrong approach. I'm just crossing my fingers that this article can be moved into the main site, so it can be edited by a wider pool of editors. Seaweed (talk) 16:25, 19 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put this down as one of my more frustrating experiences on Wikipedia. She releases one song in her own name and suddenly she's notable. The significant content of her page shows all the large variety of things she's already done, but which apparently weren't notable enough on their own. We have some strange policies sometimes.Seaweed (talk) 13:59, 4 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Article Picture[edit]

Could someone update the picture? the quality is very poor also its from 2018. She is a soloist now, maybe we could use a more recent picture? 82.212.77.58 (talk) 19:28, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
