Health/Pollution Concerns[edit]

  • Due to the Health effects of coal ash , Would this essentially spread that issue from just the Power Plant / Disposal Site to anyone dealing with concrete use / demolition?
  • Would the issue only exist in the dry pre-used form, or would dust from concrete saws/demolition also have the same risks? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eric Lotze (talkcontribs) 14:46, 30 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    1. You're probably right. Through degradation or demolition, this material would probably release the coal ash that is bound in the matrix. This is becoming a more-considered problem in materials science, as part of cradle-to-grave analysis.
    2. As noted above, that issue would most likely exist in demolition, but also in its dry, unmixed form. The exact level of health risk isn't determined, but it would probably be lesser than the risk at the power plant/disposal site, considering its mixed with other things, and the release by demolition would be less-concentrated than release at a coal plant.

COI Jan 2021[edit]

Seems the discussion of the COI editors at WP:COIN has been wrapped up. The article doesn't look very COI-influenced anymore, either. Removing maintenance tag. PhotogenicScientist (talk) 21:53, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
