A bunch of new images[edit]

I just uploaded a bunch of images to Commons that I took on vacation last summer. I'm sure the hard-core railfans here can categorize them better than I can and select some good ones to use in various articles. Feel free to edit the image descriptions on Commons as appropriate. Have fun.

Need more citations[edit]

This article is missing several citations in the paragraphs describing the conflict between the railroad company and Ulster Count. This has been a very contentious situation, and most of the material contributed has clearly been written by pro-railroad writers with no attempt to avoid loaded words and biased point of view. I have noted where citations are needed to give some time for previous contributors to add them. I changed wording in many places to be more neutral. Prairienut (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 11:33, 20 August 2014 (UTC) It appears that much of this article is original research and/or first hand experience not drawn from secondary sources. The more controversial points should be removed until they can be supported via proper citations. ^^^^ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Prairienut (talkcontribs) 21:13, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

In the paragraph on the Dec. 15, 2015 Ulster County resolution under "Threats to Service" is an uncited, unattributed opinion. I have asked for a citation. If none is provided within two weeks (Dec. 31, 2015), I will be removing the following sentence: "This resolution effectively ends the fight on rail vs. trail on the former U&D corridor, with rail and trail proponents pledging to work together from now on." Considering the more than 160 pointed comments on the cited news article, it appears the rail vs. trail controversy is not over. I will also remove certain sentences that I marked "citation needed" several months ago. These mostly describe goals of CMRR and are uncited. These statements need citations to reliable secondary sources, especially because they are not consistent with the recent resolution. Prairienut (talk) 14:26, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I will wait at least another week before starting to remove statements that seem questionable and are not cited. Before removing a statement, I will first try to find a source and add the citation. I would appreciate help with this. If anyone knows of secondary sources (books, newspapers, websites) that support statements marked with "citation needed", please add the citation in the appropriate format. Thank you for your assistance in improving this article. Prairienut (talk) 20:16, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
