Name[edit]

There's been a lot of back and forth in the "Birth name" part of the infobox, and it's clear from what the main contributor- presumably an associate- says that she goes by "Cassy", but it seems her BIRTH name is actually "Olivia Charlotte Brooking", per https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/09963040/persons-with-significant-control ; maybe avoiding the "Birth name" category would be better since this isn't a secondary source (although Companies House is used all over Wikipedia, it seems). The birth year of 1993- now removed- is also corroborated by the above source. For what it's worth other sources- the acceptability of which I'm not sure- also give the above details: https://musicbrainz.org/artist/85c840f9-a8f9-41dc-85a6-2db40fc9ea8d/aliases — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.145.165.191 (talk) 02:46, 10 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many sources give her credits as 'Olivia Charlotte Brooking' and even if she's changed her name (no proof of this is ever given with the edit by the same individual over and over again) her BIRTH name appears to be as given in the sources mentioned. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.109.206.191 (talk) 03:44, 16 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Per WP:BLPPRIMARY, we can only use names that are published in reliable sources, and from what I can see they’ve only called her Cassy Brooking, so that stays. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 13:27, 16 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Apple uses the "Olivia Cassy Brooking" moniker and conflates that name with Cassyette per this Apple Music listing. My question is this: do we have a clear indication of her real name to open the intro with, or do we need to list her professional name and add a note about the other names by which she has been credited? —C.Fred (talk) 15:39, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As above, I was happy to maintain "Cassy Brooking" as the name, but another user returned the name Olivia as it had been used in the credits, per the link above. It seems she's also credited as Olivia Cassy Brooking in Doomsday Blue as mentioned on the page there. I feel the company records with the name "Charlotte" in place fall afoul of WP:BLPPRIMARY but the credits do not; though if by some guidelines credits are also considered primary sources then I'll bow to those guidelines. ser! An IP has again removed the subject's entire name (not just the "Olivia" bit removed by the blocked user, the entire thing) without engagement or edit summary. @C.Fred:, paging you as a neutral arbiter; what do you reckon's the best solution here? ser! @Ser! Arguably, removing the name is the conservative move under WP:BLP until we have a reliable source for it—as well as for the date of birth, which was also removed. —C.Fred (talk) 00:43, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. There is this in the realm of reliable sources, but if not sufficient I'm happy to err on the side of caution. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 10:27, 16 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
