This article has been expanded from Draft:Car_guard, which was declined at AfC for the sole reason that a stub existed in mainspace already. The creator of the draft was advised to merge the two, but it doesn't look as if they will be back, so the merger has now been done. The reference to New York State armored car guards (meaning those who guard armored cars) is really about a different, though related, topic. If anyone can find references to the informal-sector car guarding activity outside Southern Africa, the article needs to expand its coverage; I know it used to go on in UK: Noyster (talk), 20:36, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
