Merges[edit]

I believe all the minor, two sentence entries on each member of the Corps should just be merged into one comprehensive entry. For all but very few of them, there isn't enough information to warrant a separate listing for each.

It depends not on the size of the current entry but on the potential entry. For example Captain Empire is up for merging but the Dominic Regan entry suggests he has his own spin-off - in which case that entry needs expanding. However, if the only thing we know about them is that they appear in that big scene in Alan Moore's run and possibly in the background in some other set pieces then I'd say the table on this page can accomodate the relevant information. I'd suggest a rule of thumb would be: Have they had their own separate adventures or have they taken a major supporting role in another adventure. A bit like getting a listing on IMDB - people who stood around in the background of a film or get a line or two to say and nothing more aren't going to get a mention. The same also goes for all the various Earths linked to - if we know quite a bit about them then they might merit an entry otherwise I'd suggest killing the link. It says he's from Earth-839. Every other source I've found says he's from Earth-794. Can someone please clarify this? MidnightSoldier (talk) 08:13, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Marvel Universe Super Heroes 001 -Captain Britain 001-.jpg[edit]

Image:Marvel Universe Super Heroes 001 -Captain Britain 001-.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:50, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Multiple Merges[edit]

Stemming from a merge discussion on the Captain Britain page it was suggest that this may be a more suitible site for the discussion. Purposed members of the Corps, alt. Cap B versions purposed to be merged: Captain Granbretan‎, Hauptmann EnglandeCrusader X‎, Captain UK‎, Captain England,‎ Captain Airstrip-One, Captain Albion. 66.109.248.114 (talk) 18:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC).[reply]

  • Merge I'd also throw in Captain England. I think it'd also be worth expanding some of the others. I think the big question is what to do with everything and I'd suggest breaking it down into sections, even if some of them are merely a sentence or two. • After 6 weeks and no additional responses, discussion closed with consensus to merge. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 02:09, 16 May 2008 (UTC).[reply]
  • I know its probably a little late now but shouldn't Captain UK merit their own article as, unlike the majority of the Captain Britain Corps, she has made quite a few notable appearances and is an important character in the Jaspers Warp storyline as well as appearing in the second version of Excalibur? Rorykillhorn (talk) 20:06, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
There is nothing against any of these Captain Britains having their own articles but as you can see the last version was awfully thin and didn't warrant keeping as a separate entity.
If you were interested in working it up into a longer entry which demonstrated her notability (and she is potentially the most notable of those merged) then feel free to move that version to your sandbox or start again from scratch (as there wasn't a huge amount there already). As a starter here is the {{comicbookdb}} entry [1] - looking that through it is a tough call but she has made recent appearances too in X-Men: Die by the Sword which could clinch it. Your call - if you can make it work then go for it. (Emperor (talk) 22:16, 21 May 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Captbrit.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Captbrit.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

[volume & issue needed][edit]

OK, there are so many [volume & issue needed] tags on this page it's almost unreadable. Can we either have some citations or a single general tag at the head of the page? 87.113.129.178 (talk) 20:51, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spider-UK[edit]

There are entries for Spider-UK on the current and former members sections. The names listed are very similar but not the same and the first appearances are not the same comics, but the Spider-UK page makes no mention of a second hero with that name. Are they definitely different characters?Nickpheas (talk) 15:16, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
