Happy

The tune is not If You're Happy and You Know It. It's similar, but not the same. In any case, it needs a source. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:25, 11 March 2017 (UTC)

It seems more like "I was born about ten thousand years ago" aka "The Liar's Song". — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:46, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
OK, it is in the source. It's still wrong. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 03:59, 11 March 2017 (UTC)

The tune is from a US Army Air Forces drinking song, "There Are No Fighter Pilots Down In Hell," no doubt remembered from Worthington's USAAF days. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.77.212.96 (talk) 04:01, 5 April 2017 (UTC)

Guys... seriously??? "If You're Happy" and "No Fighter Pilots" are the same tune. The latter was set to the tune of the former. Don't argue, just listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46JMnyvQm30 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0I6pAQDgZc
Since we're big on citing sources around here: http://www.horntip.com/html/books_&_MSS/2000s/2003-02-04_fortunas_combat_songbook__rainer_otter_(WORD)/index.htm Search for "fighter".
If anyone still insists that they aren't the same tune, the burden of proof is on you to point out the differences.
No doubt Cal heard "No Fighter Pilots" when he was in the Army Air Corps, but unless someone specifically said that's where they got the idea for the commercial, the credit for the tune generally goes to the original and not the imitation. MrRK (talk) 05:07, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
For completeness, here's a Worthington commercial for comparison: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lMOEb2qyKE
The tune is clearly the same as both "Happy" and "Fighter Pilots". MrRK (talk) 05:12, 7 May 2017 (UTC)
