Butter Tubs[edit]

Regarding the naming: There’s an information panel saying the farmers were keeping the butter in the "tubs" not only while resting on their march but rather until the next market day of Hawes, so they didn’t need to carry it down to Swaledale and back up again. --Kreuzschnabel (talk) 13:50, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
