Give Up The Funk[edit]

Give Up The Funk (Tear The Roof Off The Sucker) didn't even chart in the UK, The Bump reached #3. Please can someone old enough to remember this time remove the weasel words 132.185.240.120 (talk) 13:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i would to like mentioning "Lady Bump" in Germany from the german-austrian Artist Penny Mclean (aka Gertrude Muenzer), which was as a real big dance-hit in the german charts for 35 weeks and reached even the US-charts. Maybe someone know it... 79.211.61.175 (talk) 16:30, 16 October 2011 (UTC) (known in the german WP as Alberich21)[reply]

I don't think that Nutbush City Limits can be described as a song to which you would generally do "The Bump". As far as I'm concerned, the beat of that song is way to fast to be considered a true "Bump" song.

Nutbush[edit]

I don't know about that ! If you'd been in Edinburgh, Scotland (or Glasgow) at the time, Nutbush City Limits was THE song for the Bump. It was the right speed for some nifty moves and a lot of innovation. You just couldn't stay of the dance-floor once that dirty guitar riff started !
