Using databases as citations?[edit]

I don't think using a database as a citation is a good or great quality; in fact, I don't even want to cite a database as a citation. As an external link is more appropiate to me. Should I remove these citations? --Gh87 (talk) 18:17, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No. The BFI (British Film Institute) maintain this database of tx dates and associated information, which is probably the most reliable source of broadcast episode titles available to non-BBC employees. In this case, the information is being used to cite the date that the series was first broadcast, but also backs up what the episode titles were. Bob talk 19:54, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
