Brothers Download and Physical Disc[edit]

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is listed as download only for PS3. It might cause confusion. On the GAME PAGE, update to say PS4 has a physical disc! BatmobileFire (talk) 18:03, 26 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Steam Release Date[edit]

I think the PC Steam release date has slipped to September 3rd (same as PSN), but I can't find a source form work. Can anyone verify? Nosnevel (talk) 14:18, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just found a post on their official facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BrothersTheGameOfficial) which says that the Steam release is going to be on the same day as the PSN release, so September 3, --78.43.41.94 (talk) 23:03, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers[edit]

Something needs to be done about the massive spoilers that are given from a quick glance at the Plot. Suggestions? Shochan32 (talk) 12:24, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The title "Plot" is the spoiler warning, or at least a suggestion to the reader that the section probably gives away plot details. See WP:SPOILER. Keep in mind that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia rather than a fan page or blog post etc. so things like spoilers are implied. Reading an article and thinking there won't be spoilers is likened to reading a critical analysis of Macbeth but hoping that the analysis won't spoil the play. --Odie5533 (talk) 15:51, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this game's full plot spoiled? -M — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.32.10.156 (talk) 06:08, 27 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Whilst spoilers are not automatically excluded from Wikipedia, they are not mandatory, and broad parts of the plot are quickly brushed over to concentrate on the spoilers and twists. I count at least 3 spoilers in the main article:

- the identity of the spider

- the older brother dies

- younger brother is able to swim through older brother's spiritual guidance.

Of the 3, the first is a fairly minor one, is not integral to the game's storyline and doesn't need a blow-by-blow account in the summary. I have amended the article accordingly.

The last two are harder, as they could be the basis for wider discussion of the work. (That said, there is no wider discussion of the work here). However, in truth I'm not sure what anything beyond the first paragraph in Plot adds to an understanding of the work, other than ticking boxes for some people's desire to share spoilers. The "spoilers" are part of the plot, which the "Plot" section is meant to summarise. If someone wanted to avoid spoiling the story, they shouldn't be reading a plot summary. – Rhain 03:24, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The section removed is not integral to the plot. Plot *summary* not a blow by blow account. Why is the spider section given undue prominence, when other chapters of the story get four or five words? "– reuniting a friendly pair of trolls, saving a man attempting suicide, and aiding an inventor" Paulbrock (talk) 12:08, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Because the spider kills one of the two playable characters—likely the most significant part of the entire plot. I wouldn't really label three sentences on the game's main antagonist "undue prominence". – Rhain 12:55, 5 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
