Woo-hoo, found some references[edit]

There, now that's more like it. Previous version was total nonsense. Ten Pound Hammer(Broken clamshellsOtter chirpsReview?) 02:33, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the same Brighton Mall which had an article deleted last month after the July 14 2007 afd Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brighton Mall? It is way smaller than a regional mall (400,000 sq ft minimum) so what makes it notable enough for an article? Sourced historical/architectural/economic factors? Ack, never saw this question before. Yes, this is the same mall that was AfD'ed before. I think that the two sources are (at least marginally) enough for an article; they prove that it was a small regional mall, and for a while, the only mall between two large cities. Demolished?[edit]

I happened to stumble over this article and noticed that it says that the entire mall was demolished, excepting for K-Mart and the movie theater. I don't believe this is true. I recall that the mall was heavily reconfigured to convert it from an enclosed mall to a strip mall.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know if the parking lot was universally referred to as the "Brighton Circle" for weekend cruising? I thought I might clean the article up a bit, and include this information, since it's relatively notable for the region (as well as the redesign of the parking lot). But I'd like to use actual references, rather than my personal nostalgia ;-) -- Kevin (talk) 08:49, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"The Circle" actually consisted of the mall parking lot, the Meijer parking lot down the street, and the strip of Grand River between the two. From what I understand, ramped up enforcement against cruising that area pretty much ended the practice. --Banksnld (talk) 19:18, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
