Started article. Things that could be added:

Powerstock Station near Eggardon Hill and nearer Nettlecombe than Powerstock.
Occasional use of Land Rover for first train in final years when unit could not get path from Westbury (apocryphal(?).

Source; a letter to Modern Railways magazine in about 1974?.

Gravity working of platform at Maiden Newton (at least one model exists).
Slip coach from Westbury (or Castle Cary?).
Last steam train stalled on Powerstock Bank (Verify?).
Powerstock (and other stations?) lit by hurricane lamps even up to closure.
Bridport Railway Action Group with suggestions (stations at Loders and Bradpole and Sunday Hiker trains).
Previous schemes for Bridport involving a Dorchester - Exeter line.
