Rackett[edit]

Removed a section on the Bourdon as an early wind instrument. The instrument being described was in fact the Rackett.

The examples at the end of the article are unnecesary. I will remove them.24.161.53.152 (talk) 20:06, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Buzz?[edit]

The article should begin with the thing itself, not the word itself—a definition, not a brief on etymology that assumes that the reader knows what is being talked about. ForDorothy 00:56, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Subbass[edit]

I play two organs that have both bourdon 16' and subbass 16', the second rather louder and heavier. Perhaps there needs to be a parent page on stopped pipes (gedackt does not link here or mention the word bourdon) or on flutes. Sparafucil (talk) 23:10, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds?[edit]

How about including a sound file (or link to one) that has the sound of a bourdon pipe. A sound is worth a thousand adjectives. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.120.98.171 (talk) 04:37, 7 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
