Arranged marriage[edit]

Basis for acquittal[edit]

Neither this article nor any of the news items I have found explain why the border guard Amiya Ghosh was acquitted. He admitted killing her. Since she was hung up on the barbed wire and unarmed, she was no threat to him. And she was trying to leave India, not enter, so it is hard to imagine a security reason for stopping her. If the reason for acquittal is known, it would be good to add it to the article.Bill (talk) 03:43, 20 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
