How this article came to be[edit]

I was on #wikipedia, on IRC, and User:ShakespeareFan00 was asking about "Bradshaw", as in the railway timetables invented by George Bradshaw. That entry led me to "railway mania", which included an incidental mention of "railway shares" being mentioned in Lewis Carroll's Hunting of the Snark ("they threatened its life with a railway share"). From there, I read the (considerably longer than I had expected) analysis, and followed the link to "Boojum", where I found that we had no information whatsoever on the use of the term in superfluidity, aside from a) the fact of its existence, and b) the fact that it involves liquid helium.

So I did the research and wrote it up. DS 14:27, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

One would come to the realization, how since (St. Patrick's Day) Mar. 17th 2006, Artificial Intelligence would 'Contribute' Autonomous tweeks to any Wikipedia Article. Yet, within these last 15 years though, to my knowledge, this doesn't happen. Right now, is Aug. 12th 2021, and I attest, I'm not Autonomous, or - Machine Learning. We, may not see contributions to Wikipedia, in these 15 Years coming, by any 'Biological Entities'. Question remaining then? Will future editors tolerate, tired & exhaustive - 'Vanity Observations' by 'Biological Entities', when they accidently slip past, Wikipedia's 'A.I.'s and 'Their' corresponding 'Logic Gatekeeper' with a vain attempt at Illogical Humour?

Broken link[edit]

both links are dead. Facetious Nickname (talk) 03:32, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just found the two links on Wayback Machine and added proper full cite tags. Jimw338 (talk) 20:29, 16 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Should 'boojum' be mentioned on main Superfluity page?[edit]

I noticed this wasn't mentioned on the Superfluidity page. Should it be? Jimw338 (talk) 18:57, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It's not only a term that applies to an arcane aspect of superfluidity, it's a bizarre term that has acquired a social and etymological history amongst physicists. Andy Dingley (talk) 21:19, 17 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Opening line ends with a link that refers to a term used with superconductivity.[edit]

The link at the end of the first sentence describes 'supercurrent' as an electric current flowing in a superconductor, a current without dissipation. This article is about superfluids, not about superconductors. Either the supercurrent page needs further info or the link needs to go away. 2600:8807:8787:7700:B154:616:5275:9DF6 (talk) 09:46, 19 October 2016 (UTC)BGriffin[reply]
